Privacy statement
Last updated September 8, 2026
This statement covers the QueryBench application and the querybench.app website. The short version: QueryBench keeps your data on your device, and this website does not track you.
The application
- QueryBench connects directly from your device to your databases. Queries, results, schemas and connection details are never sent to us or to any third party.
- Connection metadata is stored in your user configuration directory. Passwords, SSH passphrases and S3 credentials are stored in the operating-system credential store (macOS Keychain, Windows Credential Manager, Linux Secret Service, or the platform keychain on iOS and Android).
- Query history keeps the last 50 SQL statements locally and never stores results. Stash recovery data lives in application memory only and is cleared on exit.
- QueryBench contains no analytics, crash reporting or advertising SDKs, and does not phone home while you work. License activation verifies your key against our licensing service and sends nothing else.
- The desktop MCP server binds to loopback only and requires a bearer token. It is off until you turn it on.
This website
- The site is static and served from a content delivery network. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking scripts.
- Server logs kept by the hosting provider may include your IP address and user agent for security and capacity purposes. We do not use them to identify you.
- Purchases are processed by our payment provider, which handles card details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address and the license you bought so we can deliver and support it.
When you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you and honor refunds and license transfers. We do not add you to any mailing list without asking.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we must keep for tax and accounting. Write to privacy@querybench.com.
