License agreement
Last updated September 9, 2026
This agreement is between you and QueryBench and covers the QueryBench software on every supported platform. By installing or using QueryBench you accept it.
1. Evaluation
You may download and use QueryBench without a license key to evaluate it. Evaluation use is for deciding whether to buy; it is not a substitute for a license in ongoing use. Signing in or registering does not restart the original seven-day trial.
2. License grant
- A QueryBench license ($99.99, paid once) grants the licensee a perpetual, non-exclusive right to use QueryBench on one active device at a time (macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS or Android).
- The license never expires. It includes every feature and all future updates.
- The licensee is one person. The license may be bought by that person, or by a company on behalf of one person who uses it. Teams buy one license per person.
- Each license is one key. The key may be active on one device at a time and may be moved between the licensee's own devices at any time: release the old device from the account, or activate the key on the new device, which releases the previous one. Contact us if you no longer have the old device.
- A company that bought a license may hand it to another person when the original user leaves or changes role. Licenses may not otherwise be resold or transferred without our written agreement.
3. Restrictions
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile or circumvent license checks, except where the law expressly allows it.
- You may not redistribute QueryBench or make it available as a hosted service to third parties.
- Database brand marks shown in QueryBench belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify supported engines.
4. Refunds
Request a refund by emailing sales@querybench.com from the account email, including the invoice or order reference. Email is our normal refund channel; it does not limit any mandatory right to seek a refund or dispute a payment through your bank or an app store.
A QueryBench license is perpetual and does not expire. Our voluntary refund policy allows a full refund within 14 days of purchase. A refunded license is deactivated.
This voluntary policy does not exclude mandatory consumer rights or remedies for defective, misdescribed, or undelivered software. Mandatory law and applicable app-store refund procedures take precedence.
Billing disputes are also addressed in our terms and conditions, subject to mandatory rights.
5. Warranty and liability
QueryBench is provided as is. We work hard to make it safe to point at production, and features such as staged changes, Stash and No-Edit exist for that reason, but you remain responsible for your data and for keeping backups. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license.
6. Termination
This agreement ends automatically if you breach it. On termination you must stop using QueryBench and delete your copies, except that a valid QueryBench license survives a termination that was not caused by your breach.
7. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which QueryBench is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
